Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the DC Doulas for Choice Collective! We have been providing abortion support since 2011 and are excited to welcome new volunteers as we continue to grow our capacity to serve people seeking reproductive health services in the greater Washington area.

We are excited to be growing our team and are accepting applications for our 2023 volunteer cohort from now until March 27th. You can apply to join the Collective here. 

Once all applications have been evaluated, we will send you an invitation to interview if we think you might be a good match for the collective. This is a relatively informal opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to ask questions about the Collective. If, after the interview, both you and your interviewers feel it’s a good fit, you will be invited to attend an in-person training over the course of a weekend in July.

The training is designed as an opportunity for you to meet other doulas, learn abortion support skills, and grow in your understanding of the ways in which systems of oppression and movements for justice impact people who have abortions. During the training, we strive to create a supportive, respectful, and collegial environment in which applicants feel safe and comfortable expressing themselves and fully participating in group activities. After the training, you will be invited to join the collective if the fit is right.
